I am a teacher with 29 years of experience enriching minds in Katy ISD! I am a graduate of the University of Texas where I earned a Spanish degree with a minor in math. I also hold a master’s degree in educational administration. I have enjoyed a long career of getting to teach both Math and Spanish!
Over the years, I have taught math to many levels of students: from 7th grade academic math to Algebra II readiness and beyond. I have a tremendous passion for mathematics because I truly believe that math is the foundation of logic, reasoning, and problem solving. I can’t wait to practice math with you!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my children, my friends and my pets! I love reading, traveling, being outside and exploring ways to make math fun. 😊
Course Description:
Algebra Readiness – for students 6th – 8th grades who are preparing to enter Algebra or who are preparing for the Credit by Exam. We will learn and review important concepts/standards inspired by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Grade 7 and Grade 8 mathematics. This class is for students who want tutoring or enrichment.
Pre-Algebra Readiness – for students 5th – 7th grades who are preparing to enter Grade 6 or Grade 7 mathematics or who are preparing for the Credit by Exam (CBE). We will learn and review important concepts/standards inspired by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Grades 6 and 7. This class is for students who want tutoring or enrichment.
Availability: June 8 -12, 10 – 11 AM / June 15-19, 10 - 11AM / June 29 – July 3, 10 – 11 AM / July 6-10, 10 – 11 AM / beyond TBD
