I am a recently retired educator with 22 years of dedicated experience in the classroom, primarily serving students in Katy ISD and Spring Branch ISD. My diverse background includes teaching Spanish, Social Studies, and English, with specialized expertise as a Dyslexia and Reading Interventionist. Throughout my career, I have successfully supported a wide spectrum of learners, including Special Education and Gifted & Talented (GT) students. Outside of tutoring, I have been happily married for 35 years and am a proud mother of two adult children living in Denver and Austin. I am a passionate traveler, theater enthusiast, and animal lover who spends my free time volunteering in animal rescue.
Course Description:
Spanish 1 is Beginner - this class will only be for students signed up for Spanish 1 in school and want tutoring or enrichment. (Classes Full)
Spanish 2 is Intermediate Spanish - this class will only be for students already taking Spanish in school and want tutoring or enrichment
Prerequisite- Spanish 1
Spanish 3 is Advanced Spanish - this class will only be for students already taking Spanish in school and want tutoring or enrichment

Instructor: Ms. Eden
Ms. Eden is a University of Texas at Austin graduate with a degree in English, Rhetoric & Writing, and Creative Writing. She specializes in advanced academic and essay writing, literary analysis, and grammar and vocabulary instruction. She teaches 3rd grade through 12th grade and encourages critical thinking, creative solutions, and hard work.
Course Description:
Beginner Spanish: Designed for young elementary school students with little to no prior experience with Spanish. Students will learn a wide variety of vocabulary, pronunciation, simple translation, and basic conversation skills. Weekly quizzes at the start of class keep information fresh. Homework includes vocabulary and review sheets and packets, pages from a Skill Builders Spanish book, and translation exercises.
